Washing your hair is such a habit that we are all super expert. Or maybe not? If already the day after the washing your hair is heavy, even to be rewashed, you probably won't wash it properly. In fact, the hair should be washed two to three times a week: if your shampoos are more frequent, try to follow our advice for a perfect shampoo, we bet you will thank us!
The most important part of any good wash is shampooing in the best way: this is the fundamental step of the routine because it responds to many different purposes, cleaning the hair from smog and particles that are deposited there every day and feeding them at the same time. Therefore, if you have done this step well, the rest will be downhill: whether you apply a conditioner, a mask or a serum, based on your specific needs, it will only be to enrich the hair with the nutrients they need.
How to make the perfect shampoo:
4 rules to be respected Making the perfect shampoo is a question of quantity
The right amount of shampoo to be used certainly depends on the mass of the hair to be treated, but the dose used must never be exaggerated. Don't pour the shampoo directly on the hair, but put a small dose on the palm of the hand, let's say more or less like a 50cent coin: you will be so aware of how much you are using it, but above all it changes the way of applying it. Having the shampoo in your hand allows you to emulsify it with water and apply small doses with your fingers starting from the fatter areas of the scalp.
4 areas of the head to watch out for
To make a shampoo that cleans really well there are 4 areas to be washed more carefully than the others: the area around the forehead, behind the ears, the top of the head and finally the nape. These small areas are the richest in sebum and impurities, as well as being the most visible: if you often wear, for example, a ponytail, your forehead is in the foreground and you immediately notice if your hair is dirty, not then talk about the fringe, cross and delight for all of us.
Better just one shampoo or two?
Many of us do the shampoo in two steps, but is it really the best solution? It can be useful if once we have particularly dirty hair, perhaps after a walk in the mountains or a jog in the city, but as a routine it is not good: the second shampoo is just more foam than the first, risking to take away too much sebum from the our skin, making the hair lose its natural shine. So remember: a single shampoo is more than enough, massage the scalp well and not be hasty, you will see that the hair will be well cleaned.
Massage and rinse thoroughly
As we said before, during the washing, massaging the scalp is very important: parts from the outside and slowly move inwards making circular movements upwards with the fingertips; in order not to irritate the skin in fact you should not use too much energy, but act delicately. Another very important step is to rinse: use lukewarm water, better even quite cold, and abound; no residual shampoo should remain on the skin.
